US President Donald Trump met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) at the White House on Tuesday, 18 November. The meeting covered key regional and economic issues, including Saudi Arabia’s potential accession to the Abraham Accords and massive commercial investments in the United States. Discussions also included the sale of F-35 fighter jets to Riyadh.

Saudi Arabia on Abraham Accords

During the meeting, Trump said that MBS expressed a desire to join the Abraham Accords, a framework that formalises diplomatic relations between Israel and Arab states. The Crown Prince, however, attached conditions, emphasising the need for a guaranteed pathway toward a two-state solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
