In recent years, France has become a basketball hotbed. Much of it is attributed to Victor Wembanyama’s otherworldly rise, but he’s not the only Frenchman who’s thriving in the NBA. Rudy Gobert, Alex Sarr, and even Zaccharie Risacher are playing well for their respective teams.

Not long ago, European-born players were once criticized for being soft. However, that narrative has since changed in recent years. They view themselves as equal to, if not greater than, their American counterparts. Need evidence? Spurs superstar Wembanyama was recently seen jawing with Warriors tough guy Draymond Green. That gives us an idea that they’re no longer pushovers.
