The Maple Leafs’ misery is over.

For the time being.

The Leafs won 3-2 in overtime against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night at Scotiabank Arena to put an end to a five-game losing streak.

Had the Leafs lost, it would been the team’s first six-game losing streak since November 2019, when a similar skid ended Mike Babcock’s tenure behind the Toronto bench.

Instead, hours after Leafs general manager Brad Treliving gave coach Craig Berube a vote of confidence, William Nylander scored on a terrific deke to slip the puck past Blues goalie Jordan Binnington at 4:06 of the extra period.

The goal extended Nylander’s point streak to 14 games.

In his first home game of 2025-26, Joseph Woll made 27 saves in the Leafs net. It was the Leafs’ first win since beating Utah 5-3 on Nov. 5
