SPRINGDALE, Ark. — According to a Washington County prosecutor, on Nov. 17, a Springdale man was sentenced to 126 years in prison for grooming and raping a child.

The prosecutor's office confirmed that Leonardo Pagan-Medina, 37, was found guilty of sexually grooming and raping a child younger than fourteen. The trial reportedly lasted only one day.

Court documents say that in November 2023, Springdale police received reports that Pagan-Medina had raped a minor multiple times between September and October.

After a forensic interview with the victim was conducted and digital evidence was obtained, Pagan-Medina was charged with three counts of rape and one count of sexually grooming a minor.
