Dancing With the Stars is mixing it up for the season 34 finale.

As celebrity semi-finalists Robert Irwin , Dylan Efron , Alix Earle , Elaine Hendrix , Jordan Chiles and Whitney Leavitt competed for a spot in the Top Five, co-host Alfonso Ribeiro announced a twist in the show's format. ( Click here to find out who is heading to the finale .)

"Next week, we're taking over all of ABC in primetime with our most demanding season finale in the history of the show," he shared on DWTS ' Nov. 18 episode. "For the first time, we'll have three rounds of competition."

The rounds will include "Instant Dances," in which celebrities must learn and perform a choreographed dance to a surprise song during the live show, as well as the "Make-or-Break Freestyle" challenge, a no-rules
