"When it hits home, it's just shocking," said 39-year-old Twinsburg resident Nina Becker.
Becker was among the hundreds that attended a candlelight vigil for London Brown on Nov. 18. The city of Twinsburg hosted the vigil at Liberty Park.
London, 14, was fatally shot on Nov. 15 in a wooded area near Twinsburg High School. A 15-year-old Twinsburg Township boy has been charged with murder.
Family and friends of London were able to share memories. Paris Lee, London's mother, told the crowd that London was her only child.
"I can't imagine how many of y'all are suffering right now, teachers, Girl Scouts, her friends and family. I just want to thank y'all," said Lee.
