The Pirates are eying an in-state rival as a potential offseason addition.
Pittsburgh is in on free agent slugger Kyle Schwarber, according to a Tuesday report by ESPN’s Jeff Passan .
The team also had shown interest in Josh Naylor before he re-signed with the Mariners .

Schwarber is expected to have a number of suitors this offseason, and he has expressed interest in returning to Philadelphia, but after a season in which he hit 56 home runs and 132 RBIs and finished second in the National League MVP voting, he isn’t likely to rush into any decision.
