It's a big West Side rivalry that now needs a bigger stadium!
It's official, Friday night's playoff game between St. Xavier and Elder has been moved from Mason to the home of the Bengals. Advertisement
This storied matchup features generations in the same family playing for the same school.
"People care about football in this town. It matters to them. And man, it matters to us. A whole lot as well," said St. X Head Football Coach Steve Specht.
Two veteran coaches are leading these teams into battle.
"There's a lot at stake," says Elder Head Coach Doug Ramsey, "Obviously, we're league rivals, but, but so many of our players know each other, they went to grade school together and, and I think that adds to the rivalry."
