PORTALES, New Mexico (KFDA) - Eastern New Mexico’s basketball teams continued their seasons with contrasting results, as the men’s team secured their second win while the women’s team fell short of their second victory.

Men’s basketball

The Greyhounds men’s basketball team posted a season-high 92 points in front of more than 2,400 fans at Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena, defeating Northern New Mexico.

Austin Abrams led the scoring with a game-high 26 points on 11-of-17 shooting, including 2-of-2 from 3-point range.

Jose Murillo contributed 19 points and six rebounds, while Treyvon Byrd added 10 points and five rebounds.

Mo Austin recorded eight points and six assists for the Greyhounds.

The men’s team will travel to face Northwestern Oklahoma State this Saturday for their next game
