The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police has restarted the investigation in the Lilavati Hospital Trust case.
"We are planning to summon all the alleged accused soon, including HDFC bank MD-CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan," an official told CNBC-TV18 on the condition of anonymity.
"There is new material. We are planning on summoning all the accused," the source added.
The case filed by the current trustees of the prominent Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, an upmarket suburb in Mumbai — run by the Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust — alleges misappropriation of ₹1,300 crore fund by former trustees.
The current trustees have accused their predecessors of illegitimate deals in procurement of medical and surgical supplies at inflated prices.
