VICKSBURG — The Pewamo-Westphalia volleyball had its share of adversity throughout the season.

And that adversity included the Pirates navigating what coach Jon Thelen called a "gut punch" with the loss of their starting libero in October to an ACL tear.

But No. 7-ranked P-W made the necessary adjustments and worked its way through that adversity to once again mount another deep state tournament run.

And while that run ended at the hands of No. 6-ranked Kalamazoo Christian with a four-set loss in a Division 3 quarterfinal on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Vicksburg High School, the Pirates were proud of their accomplishments this fall.
