Independence Health System will hold a free hernia education and screening event next month.
The event will start at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the Butler Crossroads Campus, 129 Oneida Valley Road, Suite 111, in Butler.
The event will be led by general surgeons Meng-G Lee and Andrew Szabo, who will present educational information on different types of hernias, their associated risks and advanced treatment options, including robotic-assisted surgery.
Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a question-and-answer session.
