Thirteen Tasmanian state schools will remain fully closed on Thursday and another 22 will be partially closed following the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's recall of coloured sand products found to have traces of asbestos.

The Education Department published an updated list of affected state schools on Wednesday afternoon.

Four state schools are set to fully reopen on Thursday.

Six catholic schools will remain closed tomorrow and another six will stay partially closed while cleaning takes place.

Parents and carers are asked to check the education department's website , Catholic Education Tasmania , or independent school websites for the latest closures.
