SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -We had a chance to see an old friend the last couple of days in Sioux Falls when Eric Henderson was here with Drake.

He’s always so fun to talk to for the media and willing to share how lucky he is to be coaching college basketball at such a high level.

Afterall, he didn’t even start out as a coach.

Drake MBB Coach Eric Henderson says, “There’s probably not many coaches that have been a 2nd grad teacher or a High School Principal that are coaching at the Division One level, but you know what, you learn a little bit at every part along the way and I’m very thankful and have great friends from all of our stops.”

Especially his time in Brookings as an assistant and then a very successful head coach which is why Drake really wanted him.
