While many were excited to finally see the trailer for the Ranveer Singh-led Dhurandhar, YouTube creator Dhruv Rathee chose to speak against it. He argued that director Aditya Dhar was encouraging and normalising violence through the film and urged the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to take a stand. He particularly pointed at the Dhurandhar trailer’s opening scene that has a man being tortured with wires strung from multiple holes in his skin. However, not everyone agreed with his point of view, including actor Ranvir Shorey.
