(Gray News) - DoorDash confirmed a data breach that exposed personal information of some of its users and dashers.

According to a press release , the company says that the issue was traced to an employee falling victim to a “social engineering scam,” according to the company.

The data accessed in the scam included full names, phone numbers, email addresses and physical addresses. However, the company says no Social Security numbers, ID numbers, driver’s license information or financial account information were taken.

DoorDash said it is investigating the breach and has reached out to law enforcement.

To prevent future scams, the company says it has rolled out security enhancements and hired an external firm to assist in the investigation.
