Shadow energy minister Dan Tehan has called for “honesty” and “transparency” from the Labor government, as energy CEOs say Australians “have not cottoned on” to the true cost of the renewables transition.

The Australian Energy Council surveyed some of Australia’s top energy CEOs under anonymity in a report released this week.

The chiefs expressed concerns the renewables transition would endanger chances of affordability in the short-term and foster unrealistic expectations amongst the public.
