The “6-7” craze may not have a fixed meaning, but for Delaware Valley it does. It means the Terriers will be playing for a state championship.

Seniors Jake Cooke and Angel Marquez - who wear Nos. 6 and 7 respectively - each scored a pair of goals as the Central Jersey champions dominated South Jersey champ Haddon Township on its home turf, 4-1, in a state Group 1 semifinal.

“If we can get it to our playmakers, we’re good to go,” said Del Val coach Michael Miklosey, whose Terriers (20-5) will play Glen Ridge – a 5-0 winner over defending state champion Waldwick in the other semifinal – for the state championship Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Franklin High School.
