Jacob Farrow has completed a remarkable rise by becoming the first West Australian taken in the 2025 AFL draft, with the West Perth product selected by Essendon at pick 10.
A classy half-back noted for his kicking skills, Farrow split a stand-out season between West Perth’s colts and league sides and WA’s under-18 outfit.
In 2025, he went from an outsider who had never been in a State talent program to an under-18 All Australian selection on the back of his standout form for WA at the national championships.
In the lead-up to the draft, he revealed he had hired a sprint coach over the off-season in a move designed to address a perceived weakness in his game.
