NEW DELHI, Nov 19: Gangster Anmol Bishnoi, wanted in the killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique, arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday after being “removed” from the United States and was immediately taken into custody by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), officials said. Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is expected to be produced before a special court soon.
Officials said Bishnoi is also a key accused in the firing outside actor Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence in April 2024 and the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. He was detained by US authorities in November last year and deported on Tuesday.
Former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot dead on October 12, 2024, outside his son Zeeshan’s office in Bandra, Mumbai. At least 26 people linked
