Kadaba, Nov 19: Though his right leg has a metal rod and he cannot walk, relying instead on a wheel cycle for mobility, his determination remains unshakable. Driven by the concern that no one should face inconvenience near his house, he repairs the edges of the road in front of his home — all by himself.
By levelling the eroded edges of the state highway with soil, 63-year-old Sheenappa demonstrates that physical disability may limit the body but not the strength of the mind. His heart remains soft and sensitive to people’s difficulties, even as his resolve stays firm as steel.
