BAY CITY, MI -- The Bay City area is sending more than a dozen qualifiers to the 2025 MHSAA girls swimming state finals. Here is a look at the area competitors venturing to the championships Friday and Saturday at Eastern Michigan University for Division 2 and at Holland Aquatic Center for Division 3.

MADDY ANDERSON, JOHN GLENN

YEAR: Junior

DIVISION: 3

EVENTS: 50 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay

RESUME: A four-event Independent Swim Conference champion and three-event Bay County champion, she makes her second appearance at the state finals. Anderson competed in all three relays a year ago, helping the Bobcats to 12 th in the 400 freestyle relay and 21 st in the 200 medley relay. The 200 freestyle relay was a DQ.
