John Wright, 54, died after being sacked from his job at the £61,000-a-year Marlborough College, where he had taught physics for 10 years - a joke made on a trip is said to have led to his dismissal
A teacher who took his own life had been sacked for making a joke on a school trip, it has been claimed.
John Wright, 54, was found dead at an address in Marlborough, Wiltshire on November 3, in what police described as 'not suspicious' circumstances. An inquest at Swindon and Wiltshire Coroner’s Court opened on November 7, with a full inquest due to take place at a later date.
Mr Wright had taught physics at the £61,000-a-year Marlborough College for 10 years before being dismissed over the summer because of "inappropriate conduct", reports said, allegedly relating to a joke he had made
