Now, she’s wondering if she’s in the wrong for setting her boundary
A woman turned to the Reddit community for support following a painful standoff with her father and stepmother over the holidays.
She explained in her post that she had spent years feeling pressured to replace the mother she lost at age 5 and was finally setting boundaries by refusing to visit for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
She shared that her mother had died from mental illness, writing, “I’ll leave you to figure out what that means,” and said she was only 7 when her dad began dating a woman named Diane.
