It’s not an easy time to be in the food business.
That’s because a number of fast casual and quick service restaurants have been trudging through a tumultuous time financially, and it’s all due to the soaring costs of food and labor, per Franchise Times.
That seems to be one of the reason’s that triggered parent company M&M Custard, LLC — which owns various Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburger restaurants — to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The filing took place on Nov. 14, in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas, according to Franchise Times .
As one of the largest franchisees in the nation within the Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, M&M Custard operates nearly 40 locations of Steakburgers and Freddy’s in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana and
