Idukki, Kerala: In a tragic accident, a four-year-old student was killed and another child injured after being run over by a school bus here on Wednesday.

The incident happened at Giri Jyothi Public School in Vazhathope, near Cheruthoni.

The deceased has been identified as Heizal Ben, the daughter of Johnson and Jeev Ben. Another student, three-year-old Inaya, sustained serious injuries to her leg when the bus ran over her. The incident occurred around 9:15 a.m. on the school premises.

According to reports, Heizal had just exited her school bus when she inadvertently stepped in front of another bus that had dropped off other children. The front wheel of the bus ran over Heizal, causing fatal injuries.
