A man is fighting for his life after residents of Area 25C in Lilongwe descended on him today, accusing him of theft and leaving him for dead near Kanengo Police Station.

Although details of the alleged crime remain unclear, some reports indicate that the man was caught attempting to break into a house.

Kanengo Police Station spokesperson Gresham Ngwira confirmed to local media outlet, Zodiak Online, that officers intervened just in time to save the suspect from the mob.
