Central Railway logs 43.54 million tonnes of freight loading in FY 2025

Central Railway (CR) has recorded freight loading of 43.54 million tonnes in the current financial year (April–October 2025), supported by a strong uptick in container, petroleum product, clinker, onion, and iron ore consignments. For October alone, the zone achieved freight loading of 6.17 million tonnes.

Officials said that improved performance across key commodities enabled CR to post incremental gains over the corresponding period last year. Notably, onion loading rose by 110 per cent in April–October 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Read More
