India’s refiners are booking more Middle East tankers as they prepare for reduced Russian supplies ahead of fresh US sanctions on Rosneft and Lukoil. Shipbroker reports show about a dozen vessels — up from four a month ago — being chartered from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq and the UAE for late-November to December loading.
