1PHILADELPHIA, PA – A deadly October shooting outside a South Philadelphia restaurant left one man dead and another wounded before police tracked down the alleged gunman more than a month later.

The violence erupted around 6:12 p.m. on October 9 near 1300 Packer Avenue.

Responding officers found 23-year-old Hasson Mason suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the face and body.

Medics rushed Mason to Jefferson Hospital, where he was pronounced dead 40 minutes later.

A second 23-year-old man was discovered a block away in front of Chickie’s & Pete’s Restaurant with gunshot wounds to the torso.

He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and listed in stable condition.
