Wednesday has been a bit cooler due to the cloud cover moving in and keeping highs in the lower 80s.

Rain chances will ramp up in DFW around 10 p.m. into midnight as our first wave of precipitation moves into the area.

This evening and Thursday are First Alert Weather Days due to several rounds of heavy rain and isolated severe storms.

Keep the rain gear handy on Thursday, as we will be dodging rain and storms all day.

Another round looks to move in during the morning commute. Plan for extra time to get to your destination.

A brief lull in precipitation sets up late morning into early afternoon before another round of rain pushes in from the west during evening rush hour.

Flooding is the main threat as widespread 1"-3" rainfall totals are expected with isolated 4"+ totals possible.
