The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has told a Delhi court that Al Falah Group chairperson Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui had “incentives” to flee India, citing his close family members settled in Gulf countries and alleged illicit gains of more than ₹415 crore collected from students of institutions run by his trust.

Siddiqui was taken into ED custody late on Tuesday after a day-long search at premises linked to the Al Falah University group in Faridabad. The university is a key focus of the investigation into the November 10 blast near the Red Fort that killed 15 people and injured several others.
