A Vanderburgh County jury has reached a verdict in the trial for the murder of 21-year-old Javeon Cox.

He was accused in connection with a shooting.

The victim was found shot several times on Adams Avenue in 2023.

Police told the court social media records led them to the guns used in the shooting, one of which was found in Cox’s apartment.

After a two-day trial, the jury found Cox not guilty.

He’s still in jail concerning an unrelated case.
