Uttar Pradesh’s power regulator has put off approving a supply deal with Adani Power’s new $2-billion coal project, citing unclear cost details. Adani Power had won a contract in May to supply 1,500 MW at ₹5.38 per unit, but the regulator said the state utility did not assess how much money the plant would save after the Centre relaxed rules on installing sulphur-dioxide control equipment.
