India imported 1.9 million barrels of crude oil per day from Russia in November, comprising approximately 38% of India’s oil imports, ship-tracking data from Kpler shows.
This is the highest since June, when around 2.1 million barrels per day were imported from Russia, and also the third-highest since the beginning of calendar 2025.
Between July and October, crude oil imports from Russia had averaged around 1.6 million barrels per day, visibly lower than the November volumes so far.
While Russia remained the single largest crude oil supplier to India, the United States has also climbed up the ranks.
In November, until the 18th, India imported almost 0.6 million barrels of crude oil per day from the US, higher than the October volumes.
