The suspected triggerman in the shocking murder of Canadian golfer Mike Robinson has pleaded not guilty , the Toronto Sun has learned.
Luis Cruz Burgos, 35, is accused of shooting and killing 32-year-old Robinson , who was visiting Wisconsin from Ontario for an annual golf trip. Burgos stands charged with first-degree reckless homicide in the death of the new father.
Robinson, a former OHL player and Stouffville native, was with family members in Sheboygan Falls, north of Milwaukee and on the western shore of Lake Michigan, when tragedy struck on Sept. 24.
Robinson was fatally shot just hours after notching his first hole-in-one.
