PAWTUCKET – The Pawtucket Police Department will host its 7th annual K9 For Kids event on Sunday, Dec. 7 at Slater Park’s Historic Looff Carousel, 825 Armistice Blvd.

Each year, this Pawtucket PD event brings holiday cheer to local children in the community through gifts, treats, and activities.

All Pawtucket families are welcome to attend the free event from 12-2 p.m. There will be pizza, cookies, hot chocolate and a special K-9 surprise gift. Children (newborn through 6th grade) will be able to enjoy a ride on the historic Looff carousel, visit with Santa, and receive a toy.

K9 for Kids is made possible through donations from local individuals, organizations, and businesses.

The Pawtucket Police Department is currently accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys for children 12 years
