A Michigan man named J.D. Vance was sentenced to two years in federal prison this week for making threats against President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and others.
Sixty-seven year old James Donald Vance, Jr., of Grand Rapids, who does not appear to be related to Vice President JD Vance but shares his initials and last name, pleaded guilty to threatening to kill or injure the president and vice president and interstate threatening communications, both felony charges. U.S. District Judge Paul Maloney, of Kalamazoo, sentenced Vance Jr. to two years in federal prison Nov. 17, online court records show.
