DUANESBURG - Duanesburg Elementary School welcomed nearly 50 veterans for its annual Veterans Day Assembly on Nov. 14.

The event, coordinated and emceed by music teacher Mary-Clare Waltz, included music by the Duanesburg High School Band and Chorus, a welcome speech by Duanesburg Elementary principal Kristi LaBarge and featured guest speaker Mary Brandt, a retired colonel in the Air National Guard.
