Brr—it’s cold outside! Prime time to bundle up with hats and scarves. Problem is, I’ve never been a big scarf person . Even on the most frigid of winter days, I would rather go bare-necked than wrap a big, scratchy piece of fabric around myself. Talk about total sensory overload!
Living in New York City as I do, there have been some occasions where I’ve had to burden myself with such layers, and then navigate the busy streets and subway system. A scarf that provides some temporary warmth, once indoors (or worse, trapped on a crowded train), is a guarantee for sweating buckets. A huge, Lenny Kravitz-approved accessory is not my friend.
