Fresh political tension erupted in Tripura after two BJP offices were allegedly vandalised and a party leader’s vehicle attacked within hours of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha addressing a joining programme at Takarjala, senior leaders of the party said on Wednesday.

BJP state general secretary Bipin Debbarma said miscreants targeted the party’s Mandal office at Khumulwng on Tuesday night, damaging furniture, party flags and photographs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharaja Bir Bikram. He said workers who attempted to resist the attackers sustained injuries.
