Many have fond memories of a snow-covered Christmas morning, but how likely is it to happen this year?
The Old Farmer’s Almanac has released their forecasts for the holiday in 2025, and their estimation of how likely various regions are to see snow that day.
“While we all know that nature can be unpredictable, the odds are that the snow will fall mainly in the Central region of the U.S.” their website reads. “According to The 2026 Old Farmer’s Almanac, most of the United States will be seeing a milder, gentler winter than average.”
The map included in their forecast shows a wide stretch of the central United States, spanning from Montana and North Dakota the whole way to the northern tip of Texas, where there’s a decent chance of snow on Christmas.
