Michael Nwoko had 29 points, Marquel Sutton added 16 points and 10 rebounds and LSU pulled away to a 107-81 victory against Alcorn State on Tuesday night in Baton Rouge, La.

DJ Thomas scored 16 points for the Tigers (4-0), who trailed for much of the first half before outscoring the Braves (0-6) 57-37 in the second half.

Davian Williams scored 21, Travis Roberts had 12, Nick Woodard had 11 and Mike Jones added 10 to lead Alcorn State.

Nwoko made two free throws to start the second-half scoring and a few minutes later made a layup to give LSU a 60-49 lead. The Tigers led by 11 a second time before Williams made a 3-pointer.

Sutton hit a 3-pointer and another jumper to give LSU a 70-57 lead before Woodard made a 3-pointer and two other jumpers as Alcorn State got within 74-66.
