NEW YORK (AP) — The U.S. stock market is swinging through another unsettled day of trading on Wednesday, as a huge couple of tests loom on Wall Street.
The S&P 500 added 0.2% after veering in the morning between virtually no gain and a jump of 1.1%. The index is coming off a four-day losing streak , its longest in nearly three months, and has been shaky recently because of worries that stock prices have shot too high and that the Federal Reserve may not deliver as many revitalizing cuts to interest rates as expected.
