A massively underrated DCEU movie is finding new success as it gets its Netflix debut ahead of the character's reintroduction in James Gunn's DC Universe. While the DCEU movie timeline concluded its run in 2023, the world of streaming and home media releases is still allowing the decade-long franchise to be revisited.

Gunn recently announced on social media that Blue Beetle has now been added to Netflix, and it didn't take long for the 2023 installment to climb the streaming charts in the United States. The Xolo Maridueña-starring film is currently the #5 film on Netflix's Top 10 Movies for American subscribers.

Ángel Manuel Soto directed the installment, based on a script from Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, as it tells the story of Jaime Reyes discovering the powerful alien Scarab
