“Irasshai!”
That’s how staff will welcome you when you walk into the new 3,500-square-foot Jinya Ramen Bar in north Peoria.
It is a Japanese greeting, and not to leave the bookend incomplete, you will get an “Arigato,” or “thank you,” when you leave.
Such hospitality is in the air at Jinya’s third Valley location bringing Japanese ramen to The Trailhead at 83rd Avenue and Happy Valley Road, with the Sunrise Mountain Preserve as its backdrop.
To celebrate, Jinya is hosting a grand opening event Nov. 19, offering the first 100 guests a free ramen bowl on their next visit.
Owner Daradee Olson said the restaurant serves up slow-simmered, thick, flavorful broth paired with handcrafted noodles, offering toppings like pork chashu, shrimp wonton and seasoned eggs.
