A man from Lowell won $500,000 playing the lottery with numbers that were meaningful to him.
Nicholas Budesky came forward on Monday to claim the $500,000 worth of “Mass Cash” prizes he won Friday.
Budesky played a set of numbers that represent birthday and anniversary dates on five different tickets for the same midday “Mass Cash” drawing, with each winning ticket worth $100,000.
Budesky told lottery officials he plans to help his family and renovate his home with the winnings.
He bought his winning ticket at the BJ’s Wholesale Club located at 100 Corporate Dr. in Franklin. The store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning tickets.
