Iagree with Armstrong Williams. The Jeffrey Epstein files are not going to be the smoking gun the country is salivating for ( “Armstrong Williams: The cynical cherry-picking of the Epstein files,” Nov. 18) but for different reasons.
It would be naïve to believe that the U.S. Department of Justice would turn over unredacted files with a shrug and say, “Here’s what we have been covering up. Have at it.” The thing that really struck me in Williams’ commentary was the reference to Ghislaine Maxwell’s comment about President Donald Trump never acting inappropriately. It is laughably obtuse to give any credence to the statement of a convicted trafficker of young girls about the man who has the power to pardon her.
