Srinagar- Grief swept through the mountainous Babanagri Wangat area of Kangan, around 56 kilometers from Srinagar, on Wednesday as residents mourned the death of 30 year old labourer Bilal Ahmad Sango, who was among the thirteen people killed in the recent car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort.

His body, wrapped in a white shroud, arrived from Delhi to the remote village surrounded by pine covered slopes and rugged hills. Hundreds of residents gathered to receive the mortal remains, their faces marked by shock and sorrow as they tried to process the sudden loss of a man known for his modest nature and commitment to supporting his family.

Hundreds attended his funeral, with relatives and neighbours mourning the unexpected tragedy.
