CHARLOTTE, N.C. — U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) announced federal agents have made 250 arrests during the first week of immigration enforcement operations in Charlotte.

The Department of Homeland Security released the latest arrest numbers for Operation Charlotte's Web on Wednesday. According to DHS, 250 arrests had been made as of Tuesday evening.

In a statement, DHS said federal agents will continue to target people who are in the country illegally.

"The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and federal agencies continue to target some of the most dangerous criminal illegal aliens as Operation Charlotte’s Web progresses. This immigration enforcement surge in the Charlotte area has led to the arrest of over 250 illegal aliens as of the evening of 11/18."
